Flamenco jazz, funk and soul, gypsy, pop-soul. You will find all this and more in the programme that a jazz club with a history stretching back more than 50 years has prepared for the 2017 Grec Festival in Barcelona.
Jazz, eastern sounds and electronic experimentation find a home in the compositions of this Franco-Lebanese artist, the son and brother of outstanding musicians. He has been described as someone who produces contemporary sounds that defy description and do not follow any specific rules. He is equally at home working with orchestra conductors like Lorin Maazel and working on jazz, hip-hop or electronic music projects. In 2015 he brought out Ya Balad, a nostalgic hymn dedicated to the Lebanon, his homeland.
