An Italian circus creator living in Catalonia combines various text and audiovisual movement performance ideas, in order to bring us a contemporary circus creation relating to the process of artistic research. This is A_MEN, an autobiography on social, religious and political conditioning, with a reflection on the role of women workers during the industrialisation of contemporary Barcelona.
A_MEN (Treball, dones i migracions) is on at the former Olivia Artés factory (one of the halls in MUHBA, the Barcelona History Museum) as part of Creation and Museums, a series of performance productions where artists from various disciplines come into contact with Barcelona’s museums and cultural institutions, interacting with their installations and collections in a series of theatre, dance and music productions.
