On this occasion the singer-songwriter proposes an intimate and very personal trip that begins in childhood, goes beyond the grave and walks us through the sensations, emotions and feelings that fear produces.
The main protagonist of this show is that ghost which lives in our mind and is fed by our thoughts. "Sing, sing, do not stop singing / If you stop singing you will die." The show gives an ironic review of people’s usual fears, the most common fears, with stops in the fear of oneself, those ghosts that harass us, the terror of death ... Up on the stage, the songs will be shelled out, one after the other, as a way of scaring off those fears ... or to face them head on. Finally, the catharsis of laughter, liberation. "Since I know I'm dead / I never get sick." Fear is a musical, a concert, it's a theatrical recital. This new project uses music and songs, but also theatrical texts and avant-garde technologies, all instruments that create a surprising poetic multimedia show.
This is the new proposal by Albert Pla, an artist who already surprised spectators at the Grec 2015 Festival de Barcelona with Guerra, where he tried out new technologies in a show that went beyond the classical concept of a concert to delve into the universe of performing arts. In this new show he uses the artistic creations of Mondongo, the couple formed by the Argentines Juliana Lafitte and Manuel Mendanha, visuals from the audio-visual creation studio Nueveojos and the direction of Pepe Miravete, a regular collaborator in Albert Pla’s stage projects. The show premiered last March at the Teatro Regio in Buenos Aires and now comes to the Barcelona stages with the intention of accompanying the spectators in a walk through their own fears.
