The oldest venue of its kind on the Iberian Peninsula, Jamboree, a club devoted to jazz, blues and associated rhythms, is about to host show number 25,000. To celebrate this great event, a programme that pays tribute to the finest black music.
On the way to clocking up 25,000 shows, Jamboree celebrates concert number 24,800 with a set featuring one of the most enigmatic and original voices on the scene today. Ala.ni has been compared to Judy Garland and even to Billie Holiday. She started out as a back-up vocalist for the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Blur and Damon Albarn until she discovered her own solo voice. Earlier this year, she released her debut album (You & I), which she will now present in Barcelona.
