During the months of June and July, Timbre 4 and Sala Flyhard are organising two acting workshops that will be given online, run by well-known professionals with links to these two theatres.
In recent months, the Timbre 4 theatre in Buenos Aires and Sala Flyhard have been involved in the preparation of the production L’habitació blanca [The White Room], written by the Catalan playwright Josep Maria Miró and directed by Lautaro Perotti, from Argentina. It was one of a series of stage productions relating to Latin America, which invited the city's small-format theatres to establish links with theatrical venues, groups and creators from that continent. In the end, the production won't be seen at the Grec 2020, but it will form part of Sala Flyhard's programme for the 2020-2021 season, under the Festival's label.
However, as a result of this joint work, the ties established between Sala Flyhard and Timbre 4 have led to the organisation of two online acting workshops, which will be screened using Zoom video conference software. The workshops will be run by two performing arts professionals linked to the two theatres: the actor, director and teacher Lautaro Perotti, a co-founder of the Buenos Aires theatre, and Concha Milla, an actress and dramatist linked to Sala Flyhard who is the assistant director for L’habitació blanca.
Each of the two online workshops are designed for a total of sixteen students and eight listeners. Each workshop is divided into five four-hour sessions, which will be held on the following dates:
Online acting seminar with Lautaro Perotti
The seminar participants will be working on the personal and creative development of acting and will explore the thoughts of the characters involved. The aim is to jointly investigate the most creative aspects of the actor's trade.
Monday 29 June; Wednesday 1, Monday 6, Monday 8, Monday 13 July, from 10 am to 2 pm.
The course will be given using Zoom video conference software.
Workshop with Concha Milla. From improvisation to text
The workshop will start with improvisations in order to discover one's own adaptive and creative capacities. It will analyse the concept of collective creation and finish with the text and the characters that inhabit it. What do the characters want and how do they achieve it? This is the key question for giving your all on the stage.
Wednesday 15, Monday 20, Wednesday 22, Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 July, from 10 am to 2 pm.
The course will be given using Zoom video conference software.
