Limits on opening hours during the Primavera Sound
The next edition of the Primavera Sound is on from 29 May to 3 June. During that time, limits will be placed on opening hours for establishments selling food 24 hours and bars and restaurants in the area around the Parc del Fòrum. Specifically, 24-hour establishments will have to close from 10 pm to 8 am and bars and restaurants will not be able to open until 8 am, two hours later than usual.
These temporary restrictions were already applied in 2023 and are designed to avoid build-ups of people eating or drinking in public space, which can cause inconvenience and disrupt the balance with local residents in this area.
Besides closing establishments at night, the measure aims to reduce bar and restaurant activity and attendance staff in the area around the Parc del Fòrum. Attendants will be on hand at the festival from 29 May to 3 June, from 8 am to 11 pm, with bar and restaurant activity being put back to start from 8 am, from 31 May to 2 June inclusive.
