Cleaning strike called off for the Christmas holidays

Regular cleaning services will continue in the city following an agreement between the unions and the cleaning companies.

Thanks to an agreement reached between the unions and the city’s cleaning and waste collection companies, the planned strike over the holiday season has been called off. Workers from the concessionary companies had planned to strike from Sunday, 22 December, until Wednesday, 25 December. However, an agreement was reached that will ensure cleaning services continue throughout the holidays.
