Montserrat Moliner graduated in Arts in Design from Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering.

She has been head of staff at the Councillor's Office for Education and Universities at Barcelona City Council, as well as executive coordinator for Xarxaprod, an organisation that promotes and offers support for contemporary artistic creation. Between 2012 and 2015, she was president of the AAVC-Hangar Foundation Board of Trustees.

She is currently president of the Plataforma Assembleària d’ Artistes de Catalunya. She is also part of the management and coordination team of the La Volta cultural association in Girona’s Sant Narcís neighbourhood and a tutor on the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) Arts degree course.
