Luca Bergamo is a cultural professional, engaged in politics and civil society since youth, father of two beloved sons. Member of UCLG’s pact for the future drafting committee, he’s a co-founding father of the 2020 Rome Charter. He was the city of Rome’s Vice-Mayor and deputy Mayor for Cultural Development between 2016 and 2021, one of the UCLG’s Cultural Committee’s Vice-Presidents and board member to the Accademia Santa Cecilia.
From 2012 to 2016 was Culture Action Europe secretary general. Previously, after having served four years as the Glocal Forum director general, promoting peace dialogue in post-conflict areas, he was the director general to the Italian Youth National Agency. From 1999 to 2004 he was Zone Attive director general, a company of the City of Rome, dedicated to cultural innovation and emerging artists. Previously he worked years in the ICT sector, as specialist in knowledge representation and DB design, with incursion in the AI.
