Semolina Tomic is the stage name of Julijana Tomic Fajdetic, creator and multidisciplinary artist. She was born in 1966 in Osijek (Croatia), but has lived in Barcelona since 1985.

Between 1989 and 1994 Semolina was part of the hardcore punk band POPPINS as drummer, with whom she recorded 3 discs. Between 1995 and 2003, she established herself as an actress, choreographer and creator in the Company LA FURA DELS BAUS, although in 1999 she had already created her own company, SEMOLINIKA TOMIC (http://semolinika.anticteatre.com). In 2003, upon leaving La Fura, she founded L'ANTIC TEATRE - ESPAI DE CREACIÓ (http://www.anticteatre.com/), with the mission of supporting and encouraging innovation and the development of new multidisciplinary scenic languages, becoming a benchmark in the independent live arts scene.

Since 2016, Semolina Tomic has been immersed in an international and national tour with the SOCIETAT DOCTOR ALONSO Company, with the show "ANARCHY", premiered at the TNT Festival in Terrassa (September 2016). During all these years Semolina has had a long and prolific artistic career, and has been awarded numerous prizes, such as the FAD Sebastià Gasch Award for Theater Arts (2004), the Award for the Most Innovative Programming in Spain from the International Fair of Teatre i Dansa d'Huesca (2004), the Dansacat Award 2014 to the Antic Teatre team, the XXII Performing Arts Criticism Awards at the Antic Teatre (2019), the QÈ FEM? From La Vanguardia to the best theater (2019) and the Time Out Barcelona Best Theater Award (2021).

Since 2020, she has provided artistic and technical support, stage design, production and distribution for the artist Juana Dolores. Currently, she is preparing the premiere of Juana Dolores' second show *HIT ME IF I'M PRETTY* which premieres on 12/2/2022 at the Temporada Alta Festival in Girona.
