Popular & Traditional Culture Comission

The Traditional Culture Commission was established by the Plenary Council of Culture of Barcelona, 20 february 2007.

Of continuing nature. Tasks:

  • Advise the local government on popular culture matters.
  • Participate in the design, assessment and monitoring of the city’s popular cultural performances and programs.
  • Trigger discussions and knowledge of the city’s popular culture.
  • Report about the local normative and regulatory projects that come into play in cultural political matters, setting the spotlight on popular culture.
