Article 9. Functions of the Executive Committee

The Executive Committee performs the more executive functions of the Council of Culture. More specifically, these are:

a) To designate up to five people to form part of the Grants Commission, which proposes the recipients of grants to support artistic creation as described in Article 2, Section 4.2. of these Rules and Regulations.

b) To propose to the Council Presidency the people who should form part of the various juries for the City of Barcelona prizes (up to nine people per jury), according to the rules and regulations for these prizes.

c) To issue mandatory reports prior to:

– The establishment of new municipal cultural bodies or facilities.
– Municipal legislative or regulatory plans that concern issues affecting cultural or art policy.
– The appointment of directors of municipal cultural bodies or facilities.

d) All other functions expressly delegated to it by the Council Plenary.
