ferranElOtro looks at new ways of exploring museographic devices by putting them in the foreground and affirming their role as something more than mere structures that support the works in an exhibition.
Five iconic moments in the history of exhibitions and the works displayed are recalled in an audio guide. At the Espai Rampa, elements as diverse as a display case from the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona (the city's first public museum), the reconstruction of a space originally designed by Lilly Reich and Mies van der Rohe in 1927, and the work Show Titles #641, by artist Stefan Brüggemann, which consists of a list of more than 1,200 possible titles for exhibitions, will be on display together.

L’exposició HOW ABOUT A LITTLE KISS, DON’T BE UNKIND [Va, fes-me un petonet, no siguis antipàtic] planteja una hipòtesi de la història de la museografia. Posa el focus en els dispositius museogràfics perquè, fent-los visibles, perden la qualitat de subsidiaris. Aquesta inversió reivindica el seu paper en el complex expositiu que, com a convencions, hem naturalitzat com a transparents, però en realitat signifiquen. A partir d’una audioguia, es rememoren cinc moments icònics de la història de les exposicions i els seus displays, que es tradueixen en l’espai expositiu a través de cinc dispositius museogràfics.
