Sculpture. You’ll be able to see pieces by Hans Arp, Louise Bourgeois, Eduardo Chillida, Naum Gabo, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi and Jorge Oteiza.

The exhibition Art in Stone places in La Pedrera some of the late works by eight historical sculptors, born between the late 19th and early 20th century: Hans Arp, Louise Bourgeois, Eduardo Chillida, Naum Gabo, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi and Jorge Oteiza, who were almost contemporary; it describes the artistic paths they followed, often in parallel, to explore these new means of expression, and highlights points of convergence.

In addition to these abstract pieces, which will engage in an in-depth dialogue with La Pedrera, a complementary section gives visitors the chance to see how the pioneers of modern sculpture influenced the subsequent generation - Stephen Cox, Luciano Fabro, Barry Flanagan, Cristina Iglesias, Anish Kapoor, Ettore Spalletti and Alison Wilding—, and how stone has been the inspiration for new conceptual ways of working.
