In this workshop we will draw an alternative past on old photographs of Barcelona. We will imagine how emblematic places of the city, such as the Sagrada Família, the Arc de Triomf or Montjuïc become filled with giant dinosaurs, double moons, flying cars, or people in space suits.
We will create a large mural in which we will retain the movement of the street with drawing, based on the projection of live images of the city.
We will colour photographs of the neighbourhood and of the photographers of our collection so as to create new original and funny images.
Arxiu Fotogràfic de Barcelona
The Photographic Archive of Barcelona is a centre aimed at conserving, treating, describing and spreading the photographic heritage of the city. Its premises are located on the second floor of the old Convent de Sant Agustí, and it has conserved more than three million photographs since 1844 until the present day. Professional and amateur photographers, publishers, personalities from the Barcelona society, institutions, families, citizens and the City Council itself, have fed this archive over the years.
With the collaboration of the Photographic Archive of Barcelona.
