Colectivo Baricela

7 sins and a monkey

7 sins, 7 stories, 7 fanzines done collectively

The visitors are invited to participate in the collective creation of the fanzines spread around the room, as an exquisite corpse of self-publishing.

On the tables there will be seven blank fanzines, of different formats, and each one with an assigned theme. Visitors are encouraged to choose one (or more) and contribute their own content, following the way they want in previous stories, and contributing their texts and drawings to prepare the terrain for the next one when intervening.

Having seven magazines at play several people can participate at the same time, and although it is considered as a fast activity, everyone can take the time that they need.

The visitors can come during the day and always find the stories in different places, and intervene again or see how another has followed what they started.

The members of the Colectivo Baricela will be there to explain what a fanzine is and how it functions for those who are not familiar with the topic, and to encourage the intervention of the participants.

Colectivo Baricela

Colectivo Baricela consists of a group of girls who sell sushi, walk the dog, use Tinder and draw things. Together we work on themes of self-publishing, and we turn our different visions and interests into Fanzines, prints or painted walls.

Some of the trade fairs or festivals in which we have participated include FLIC (2017), Utopia Markets (2017), Give Print a Chance (2017), Sublime Art Fest (2018), Graf Bcn (2018), Sant Jordi in ImaginCafé (2018) or Impreses! (2018).

You can find our publications at Fatbottom, La Modesta and in Espai Brut.
