The Sagrada Familia, with every detail
The virtual visit that can be made from the temple’s website allows you to see the façades, the interior, the crypt and climb to the highest point of the construction.
Antoni Gaudí was a genius and a breakthrough in his time, but he could have never imagined that his great buildings could be seen comfortably from home and through a screen. You will say, and with rightful certainty, that physically visiting a place is not the same as looking at it through a mobile device. But since these days we can’t move from home and all cultural and artistic facilities and spaces are closed, we can take advantage of the tools offered by new technologies and, for example, make a virtual visit a well known temple such as the Sagrada Familia. In addition, virtual tours have their advantages, such as not having to queue for entry, be able to observe the spaces in silence and without a large number of tourists, or visualize in full detail and for as long as we need the highest parts of a construction without suffering cervical pains.
The virtual visit to the Sagrada Familia is presented to us in several sections of the temple: the Passion and the Nativity façades, the interior, the Apse, the Cloister of the Rosary, the Western Sacristy, the Crypt and Gaudí’s tomb . Also, we can visit the state of the works in its highest part, which allows us to contemplate spectacular views of Barcelona in 360º.
The first stone of the Expiatory Temple of the Sagrada Familia was laid on March 19, 1882. Construction works are in the final stretch, and it is estimated that they will be completed by 2026.
