Noa, letters to Bach

Israeli singer Noa pays her particular tribute to J.S. Bach in a concert at the Palau de la Música.

Next Thursday, February 11, the Palau de la Música Catalana will host the Israeli singer and percussionist Noa, one of the most prominent voices in music in recent decades. In this concert, included in the ‘Palau Fronteres’ cycle, the artist brings a program designed to pay homage to the classical composer J.S. Bach. She will play a series of pieces that recreate Bach's originals and add her voice in words that represent her feelings of admiration for him. As usual, the singer will be joined by Gil Dor on the guitar, Hila Karni on the cello and Lir Vaginsky on the violin.

The repertoire will include pieces such as Aria and some of the Goldberg Variations BWV 988, Siciliana from the Sonata for Violin in C minor BWV 1017, The race, Little loving, Look at me, All of the angels, Vertigo, Mars, A pair, Oh mama dear, No baby and Ave maria. A great opportunity to see Noa live in a cycle that offers new musical perspectives with innovative programming, which contrasts classical and contemporary music.
