The newest and most human language of Xarim Aresté

The artist performs his new album at La Farinera del Clot and the Centre Cívic Barceloneta as part of the Barcelona Districte Cultural programme.

Under the title Un idioma nou, the musician from Flix has composed a collection of songs that sing of life in all its dimensions, which he is presenting these days in Barcelona's civic centres and cultural venues as part of the Barcelona Districte Cultural programme. Next dates are 11 and 25 April at the Centre Cultural La Farinera del Clot and the Centre Cívic Barceloneta, respectively.

As with all Barcelona Districte Cultural events, the performances are free admission, although advance booking is required. The programme includes dance, theatre and circus, among other disciplines, in addition, of course, to concerts like those of this musician, a composer, but also a guitarist, poet and writer with his own personality who has released eight solo albums to date.

Now you will hear him perform the songs of Un idioma nou. The title of this long-lasting work is taken from the song of the same name, in which Xarim Aresté claims, beyond the language of machines and the language we have created, a new language that reaches where mechanical engineering can never reach, and which contains the human element as an indispensable ingredient.

Beauty and pain are integral parts of life and also of a record that reflects it in the form of poetry and dresses it with popular music, ranging ‘from the most bluest jota to the most Mediterranean blues, from tears to laughter’. Xarim Aresté's guitar and his voice will take you on a journey that explores the depths of the human soul.

Nassos de paper, Sense eix or Diamants que ens parla de les presses i modes intranscendents del nostre temps are just some of the songs you will hear in the concert.

If you don't want to miss Xarim Aresté's latest songs, come to Centre Cultural la Farinera del Clot or Centre Cívic Barceloneta, but first check the information on both dates on the Barcelona Districte Cultural website and book your ticket.
