A view of Hospital de Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site

An interactive journey through the world without getting out of Sant Pau

The Hospital de Sant Pau's Art Nouveau Site is filled with light and colour until 12 January.

Did you know that in New Zealand they have a tree, the pohutukawa, which produces spectacular green flowers just in time for Christmas? Have you ever seen Candle Day in Colombia? Do you prefer to put up a Christmas tree or decorate a small boat, the karavaki, as they do in Greece during this festivity? Maybe we have just explained three things you didn't know. Do you want more? Then come and visit the Art Nouveau Site of the Hospital de Sant Pau (pictured. Photo: Robert Ramos) before 12 January, which will be filled with light and colour these days in a new edition of The Lights of Sant Pau, which offers you... a trip around planet Earth in the middle of Christmas.

The activities they have prepared for you have a charitable nature, that is to say, the Lights of Sant Pau works with non-profit foundations such as the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation, to whom they facilitate the collection of donations during the process of buying tickets to see the illuminated enclosure. This is yet another reason to visit the Art Nouveau Site, where this year they have prepared a completely new experience, an interactive visit in which light and the most vivid colours are the protagonists.

Llumi, a star that has come down from the sky, will accompany you during your journey. Have you already got your passport? You will travel through some twenty locations, each with its own way of celebrating Christmas. You won't need a plane to go to the USA to see how they make snowmen, or to go to India to observe A Starry Sky. The Philippines, Argentina and the United Kingdom are just a few more stops on a Christmas journey around the world during which you will learn a lot about the planet you live on.

The tour lasts approximately one hour, with access to the site in half-hour slots. You must be punctual and arrive at least thirty minutes after the time indicated on your ticket. The visit is a proposal that will allow you both to get to know the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau and to enjoy an interactive Christmas experience that makes the space even more attractive.

If you don't want to miss the tour of the world offered by the Hospital de Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, come and visit The Lights of Sant Pau, but first check the website for information on visits.
