Immersive journey into the world of Dalí

The Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona is hosting the Dalí Challenge, a sensory experience about the painter from Figueres.

Take your mobile phone and headphones to enjoy an immersive experience that will take you on a spectacular journey through the work and imagination of Salvador Dalí and the world in which he lived. It is all part of Dalí Challenge. You don't know anything about me, the proposal that will be installed to 15 January at the Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona.

This is an experience lasting approximately sixty minutes and designed for all kinds of audiences. They will be explaining the story of Dalí and his world in a podcast format, which is why they advise you to bring your mobile phone and your own headphones to make the most of an experience that promises to fascinate spectators.

Dalí Challenge presents the best-known works of the genius from Figueres, yes, but they do it in a different way, making extensive use of the latest technologies and immersing you in surreal environments.

Virtual reality, augmented reality, video-mapping… All these techniques and some more will help you to enter into each of the sixty or so works digitised and exhibited, a whole master class explained in today's language about one of the most outstanding icons of 20th-century avant-garde art in general and of surrealism in particular.

The exhibition follows others we have seen in Barcelona dedicated to artists such as Sorolla and Chagall. This one dedicated to Dalí, however, has already been seen in São Paulo and in other Spanish cities such as Madrid, where it has been on display for several months and has achieved very good ratings among visitors.

Licensed and supervised by the institutions dedicated to protecting the genius's legacy, the exhibition seeks to show visitors that, beyond the stereotyped images of the artist that we all remember, Dalí is a much richer personage who holds more secrets and has been the protagonist of many more anecdotes than the public realises.

If you want to become an expert on the artistic world of the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, you have an appointment at the Royal Artistic Circle, but first you can consult the Dalí Challenge website for all the information on the exhibition.
