les arrels musicals italianes es fusionen amb sons contemporanis en una festa immersiva que recorre Nàpols i la Puglia

How does a sound trip to Italy sound?

On 3 and 4 April, Italian musical roots merge with contemporary sounds in an immersive festival that travels through Naples and Puglia.

If we mix folk music, tarantella and ragù... what do we get? A tribute to Italian culture and, more specifically, to Neapolitan culture. Tradicionàrius and Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació join forces to offer two concerts dedicated to reviewing the evolution of Italian music. With artists from Naples and Puglia, the shows offer an in-depth look at the musical traditions of these regions, fusing the rich popular tradition with contemporary sounds.

An event that arrives on 3 April at Recinte Fabra i Coats in collaboration with Napoli World festival and the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of Barcelona to present a sonorous journey from Italian melodic roots to contemporary music. A unique experience that begins with a concert by Suonno d'Ajere, a trio of voice, mandolin and guitar that revisits the rhythms of Naples from the 19th century to the present day with pieces that sound like jazz, pop and popular music. A musical kaleidoscope to discover the Italian essence!

This sonorous journey will give way to the unmistakable style of DJ Sangennarobar who brings his worldbeat, a fusion of Italian folk with contemporary styles, such as techno or pop. At the same time, the dance floor will be filled with dance thanks to choreographer Andrea De Siena who will teach you how to dance the tarantella. And to finish... a sensational ragú prepared by the chef and photographer Sergio Grispello! With this fusion of music, dance and gastronomy, the 3 April festival promises to be an immersive experience of Italian culture in a fusion of past and present in a single night.

But the party doesn't end there, because on 4 April the Jordi Fàbregas Auditorium will be hosting two concerts. The first of these will be given by Ra di Spina, a group characterised by its talented fusion of ethnic roots and folk music from southern Italy. A timeless experience that, through loopstation, guitars and polyphonies, invites us to connect the epicentre of tradition with modernity. And they will arrive in force to present their first album, Vocazioni, a cry from the visceral to a dream of will power. To end the evening, Maria Mazzotta, one of the most outstanding musicians in Puglia, will delight you with a unique concert that fuses the traditional sounds of her homeland with Balkan rhythms.

Get ready to enjoy two nights where Italy shines with the essence of its rich musical culture! You will find more information and tickets on the Entradium and Tradicionàrius websites.
