Porttrait of the musics

Hip-hop and electronica with Twenty One Pilots

The duet from Ohio brings one of the concerts of The Clancy World Tour to the Palau Sant Jordi.

Unstoppable energy and a spectacular visual production... Twenty One Pilots promise it, and they're coming to Palau Sant Jordi with their electronic hip-hop and their latest album, Clancy, under their arms. They'll be waiting for you on 22nd April.

The band was formed in Columbus, Ohio, in 2009, and began playing as an independent trio before the line-up changed and stabilised as a duet with Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, the current members. They play a combination of rock, hip-hop and electronica that vests lyrics about the anxiety generated by today's world, identity and personal struggles.

They will play songs such as Overcompensate, Car Radio, Backslide, Heathens, My Blood, Oldies Station and Fake You Out, among other new and old creations by the band. They released studio albums such as Twenty One Pilots (2009) and Vessel (2013), before achieving mass success in 2015 with Blurryface, which included Stressed Out and Ride.

In 2018, with Trench, they consolidated a narrative that has accompanied them until now, when they will end a cycle with Clancy, an album that serves as a prelude to the last chapter of a series of concept albums.

If anyone is still wondering where the band's name comes from, we recommend that you read Arthur Miller's play All My Sons (directed by Argentinian Claudio Tolcachir at the Teatre Poliorama during the 2011 Grec Festival in Barcelona under the title Todos eran mis hijos), about an industrialist who gets rich selling components for North American aviation during World War II, defective components that cause the death of these twenty-one pilots who give their name to Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun's musical project.

If you want to know what Twenty One Pilots' latest compositions sound like live, come to Palau Sant Jordi, but first check out the information about the concert on the website.
