Circ Raluy returns to Barcelona with an innovative sensory experience
The new directors of the company bring the show Cyborg to Barcelona's Port Vell.
After a period of absence, partly due to the death in 2021 of Luis Raluy, the patriarch of this family dedicated to the arts, Circ Raluy returns to celebrate Christmas in Barcelona, this time with new direction and a new show. Don't miss it.
The new directors of Circ Raluy are Louisa and Kerry Raluy, in charge of preserving a family legacy that has been dedicated to the circus for over a hundred years. Just preserving? Not exactly, because they are aware that the world is evolving and that the circus they direct must also change.
Hence the new show that you will see at the Port Vell these days. It is called Cyborg and, yes, it preserves the essence of the traditional circus that the Raluy's have made famous, but at the same time it turns the circus show into a sensory experience that seeks to surprise the spectators.
They themselves say that the Cyborg show is an exciting and unusual experience, which goes beyond what you would expect to find. All this, to make us connect with ourselves and remind us of some lessons about coexistence, self-improvement and acceptance.
You will travel to unknown territories, guided by a group of young performers who breathe joy, empathy and creativity and turn the circus arts, more than a show, into a celebration of life.
All this, with an exciting staging, lots of surprises and a host of characters, including some unreal beings who are almost machines or robots, but who do impossible balancing acts, fly through the air or make you laugh ot loud.
If you don't want to miss Circ Raluy's newest show, come to Port Vell, but first check the website for all the information about the Cyborg show.
