Murs oberts
Public access to a set of walls in various Barcelona districts.
The only requirement for intervening in a “Mur Obert” (Open Wall) is to respect the basic code of operation and coexistence when using these spaces:
- Murs Oberts are for free artistic intervention and use by both city residents and non-residents.
- Creations produced on them cannot include offensive, sexist, or xenophobic content or be used for advertising.
- Artistic interventions must be placed within the areas marked by specific signs (metal squares anchored in relief to the wall).
- Hygiene and cleanliness standards of the area adjacent to the wall must be respected.
- Neither finished nor unfinished artistic creations are subject to any permanence or durability.
- Barcelona City Council is not obligated to maintain or preserve artistic creations.
- Artistic creations on Murs Oberts do not admit private rights over the work except for authorship rights, the integrity of the work in case of reproduction, and non-commercial reproduction without permission from the author.
