This book has been published in the orbit of the “Traços” exhibition by the Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món. The collection held by the municipal museum includes one of the finest sets of Australian aboriginal tree bark paintings in Europe, the result of various trips to Australia in the 60s and 70s. Lavishly illustrated, this book offers a significant selection of these extraordinary paintings for the first time, in a visual journey which takes us from traditional eucalyptus-bark paintings through to the most contemporary, global and critical present day.
