The poets Francisco Ferrer Lerín, Anja Zag Golob, Abdellatif Laâbi, Raquel Santanera and Joseba Sarrionandia will recite their verses.

The International Poetry Festival, as has become a tradition, will close the Barcelona Poesia festival this year 2024. The event, also known as La Nit del Palau, will take place on Wednesday 22 May from 8 p.m. at Palau de la Música Catalana. Tickets, priced at €7, can be purchased in advance.

It will be the 39th Barcelona International Poetry Festival, and on this occasion the Slovenian Anja Zag Golob, the Moroccan Abdellatif Laâbi, the Basque Joseba Sarrionandia, the Catalan Raquel Santanera, and Francisco Ferrer Lerín, from Jaca, will take the stage. Their poetic voices will resound on a special night in which the musical and lighting effects of Aurora Bauzà and Pere Jou will create a unique and unrepeatable sound and visual landscape. The Palau will be filled with bursts of light and sound along with the words of the poets, as if the Palau itself were also reciting and would like to perform on its own as another poet, as a voice destined to enlighten us. The programme of the event reads: ‘A show not only of metaphors in different languages, but also of lights and music that also speak and that will leave no one indifferent, awaits us’.
