BCN Diverse City Meeting 2024
A festive and protest day to show, share and enjoy the diversity of the city of Barcelona.
Once again this year, the Barcelona Municipal Immigration Council (CMIB) and its member organisations are organising a new edition of the BCN Diverse City Meeting, a festive and protest day aimed at all citizens with the aim of showing, sharing and enjoying the diversity of our city.
The meeting will take place on 24 November on the Lluís Companys promenade, with the central theme “Young people of diverse origin in Barcelona”, a reality that is still relatively new, but which is emerging strongly and must be known and addressed.
As every year, on the stage and in the different spaces and tents, you will find numerous activities, such as workshops, talks, exhibitions, parades and traditional games, for both children and adults. There will also be a living library and a radio set from the Barcelona community radio network, and talks will be offered related to the migration issue, interculturality or anti-racism, among others.
The aim of the BCN Diverse City Meeting is to contribute to building a plural and cohesive city based on the recognition of diversity, coexistence and interaction between organisations and citizens, breaking stereotypes and promoting equal rights and opportunities.
It has been held for years, with a lot of participation from organisations and citizens, it has been evolving and growing, and it has become a reference event in the city’s autumn calendar.
